Sex sells, though it's a little tacky to apply this to the marketing of women's sports. The WNBA seems to have gotten over it, though, and rolled out a new "Basketball is Beautiful" slogan in a television commercial that showcases some foxy ladies who play mean hoops. And nobody is foxier in this league than the Liberty's own BECKY HAMMON. It doesn't diminish her tenacity on the court or her sharp pop from three-point country to point out that this clear-eyed, milk-complexioned babe from the Dakotas looks cuddly in her shoot-around sweats and downright deadly in street slacks, blouse, and smart-girl specs.
