Best Quaint Neighborhood Post Office New York 2002 - GREENPOINT STATION POST OFFICE
When a classified ad describes an NYC apartment as "cozy," we all know to read "claustrophobic." So if I were renting out the GREENPOINT STATION POST OFFICE, I'd say it's "com- fortably compact," or "pleasingly personal." And you still wouldn't believe me. But hey, I'm a big fan of the U.S. Postal Service, so maybe I'm easily pleased. This little office packs all the charm of the clean, tree-lined, largely Polish neighborhood in which it resides. It doesn't look dingy like most city post offices; it's well-lit and upkept. Not a murmur of disgruntledness gurgles up from the "service associates"they actually project a positive attitude and helpful intent. So come on, everybody, go postal!, Brooklyn.
