TRATTORIA PAOLINA
I scrupulously try to visit every new Italian in the East Village, but who can keep up? My favorite in the past year has been TRATTORIA PAOLINA, a pan-Italian with a special focus on the food of Romagna. That the Bolognese sauce (here called by its proper name of ragu) is perfect goes without saying, but also superb are the piadina-stuffed flatbreads and the crepes called crespelli.
