PASTIS
Like a scene from Moulin Rouge, PASTIS has always crackled with guilty pleasures: flowing wine, juicy burgers, baskets of thick bread, salty fries. And cigarettes. Let's face it: When smoking looks cool, it looks really cool, and nowhere did it look more fabulous than at Pastis. Now, without that familiar haze curling into the ceiling, things seem more sanitized and a little less soigné. Sigh. At least there's still brunch with Ethan and Uma.
