SWISS INSTITUTE
Artists claiming a platform of second-wave neo-Dadaism staged a series of Cabaret Voltaire-style performances replete with "failed" (black) paintings strewn about the walls and floors of Soho gallery space the SWISS INSTITUTE. What emerged, however, was a venue for hippies and hipsters alike to huddle attentively, attuned to great noise from Black Dice to Christian Marclay. The earsplitting atonal technological maneuvers of the performers far outshone the anti-art, and new cross-genre experiments go on.
