If you're at the Knitting Factory, Tonic, or Sweet Basil's and spot a kindly old gent in front sporting a yarmulke-like cap, passionately painting on a large sheet of paper, you're probably seeing JEFF SCHLANGER. His work happens as the concert happens, ending when the set is over and ready to be displayed on the club's walls. It's a good way to experience art in the making, and an easy way to get the paintings to dry, too.
