Not that there's anything wrong with overpriced tickets, $5 waters, and Hootie & the Blowfish reunion tours, but when Michael Swier and the Bowery Presents took over concert booking for WEBSTER HALL last August (the first show was Sonic Youth), for a second I thought the rock scene here was on the up again. Then the Bravery played there, then Bright Eyes, then the Decemberists. But hey, so did LCD—I'll take the bad with the better.
