BROOKLYN GAY VOLLEYBALL
A loosely affiliated, colorful group of about 10 men meet Thursday evenings in Prospect Park for BROOKLYN GAY VOLLEYBALL, a recreational activity in which "everyone wants to be on the winning team at Excelsior," the local gay bar, after the game. Participants range from the cigarette-wielding to the serious, but it is above all social—as one participant says, "I love volleyball, but if it were any other sport I would play." Lesbians, straight men and women, and awkward dates are all invited.
