Barca 18

I wasn't much impressed by nuevo tapas bar Barca 18 when it opened late last year, but I sure loved the tortilla. No, not the floppy flatbread that is the Mexican tortilla, but the Spanish version—a firm egg omelet cooked in a pie and sliced into wedges. Barca 18's enfolds asparagus, black olives, and blood sausage that gives the tortilla a crumbly texture. At $7, it's one of the menu's greatest bargains, and I'd be glad to make an entire meal of two wedges.
