Best Stand-up/dance/ Burlesque Club Inside A Movie Theater - Rififi/Cinema Classics

Sometimes, the infinite number of choices for where to go out in the city can be overwhelming. Do you feel like seeing stand-up? Maybe an old horror flick? What about a punk-rock dance party? Head over to Rififi/Cinema Classics seven nights a week, and you'll get all of those things—and for dirt cheap (if not free), too. Formerly the movie theater of the video sales store Cinema Classics, the low-key, 50-seat venue also has a bar in front with vintage sofas to lounge on. Burlesque dancers bump and grind Thursdays and Sundays; hipster dance parties happen Saturdays; and a lineup of talented comedians (like regulars Eugene Mirman and Bobby Tisdale) take the stage four to five nights a week. Free horror classics play every Monday, with $3 PBR drink specials and DJs. If only they sold pot behind the counter, you'd think you had died and gone to Amsterdam.
