Best albatross New York 2007 - Bernie Kerik
Always seeking the limelight, Rudy Giuliani's former prison-guard pal kept popping into the news in 2007, and he didn't even have to seek it out. Bernie Kerik's disastrous stint in Iraq as a supposed trainer of police got mentioned in the late-summer flap between Charles Ferguson, director of the devastating war doc No End in Sight, and Jerry Bremer, the Bush administration's former proconsul in Iraq. Kerik, it seems, did nothing in 2003 to help stem the anarchy that has now enveloped the entire country. No surprise there, but Giuliani will still have to drag Kerik's stinking carcass around as he campaigns for the presidency. Bernie won't pass the smell test; will Rudy?
