After saying so-long to its neighbor Tower Records last fall, the smart folks over at the beloved indie record shop Other Music opened a new store this year, Other Music Digital. Just like the real shop in the East Village, the easy-to-use online store offers the staff's expert music reviews and carefully chosen selection of rock, reggae, electronic, hip-hop, and jazz. (Sorry, no Bob Dylan here.) This is the place to go for obscure gems that you can't get at the iTunes store. Recent top-selling artists on its site included Bowerbirds, Vampire Weekend, and Fucked Up. However, if you still feel the need to own all the pretty packaging and artwork, you can always visit your OM friends at the shop for vinyl, CDs, and reminiscing about the seven-inch.
