Modesty is overrated: With a lineup selected by current Voice film critic J. Hoberman, sibling paper L.A. Weekly's film critic Scott Foundas, frequent Voice contributor Melissa Anderson, and former Voice film editor Dennis Lim, the New York Film Festival—officially presented by the Film Society of Lincoln Center—is obviously the best fest in town. (Sorry, De Niro.)

BTW --isn't ANYONE noticing that our PC franchise slum RED Chinasoldout Hollywood 'mysteriously overlooked' AGAIN both the20th anniversary of the Tiennamen Massacre AND the staggeringlyrelevant 60th anniversary of the KOREAN WAR ---this year?
