A very tough call: Do you pick Henry Paulson, the Goldman Sachs CEO turned Treasury Secretary who gave his reckless pals who melted down Wall Street billions of taxpayer dollars to bail them out? Or do you pick John Paulson, the hedge-fund guy who bet that America would fail, and made billions of dollars when Wall Street melted down? The winner has to be John Paulson, who, in the past couple of years, raked in several billion by betting against homeowners, shareholders, and the American way of life. Henry, the Bush era's last Treasury Secretary, probably caused more damage to society, but you gotta give it to John: He bet that we were suckers and losers—and he was right.
