If you're wary of catching an Xtube virus and are looking for cleaner digs than whatever's left of Times Square's naughty picture joints, CineKink NYC is there for you. Each February, this festival provides the means for you to ditch the laptop and the privacy of your own home, and enjoy kinky film the way it's meant to be enjoyed—in the company of strangers, of course. Taking place at the mostly sterile Anthology Film Archives, where the sticky stuff on the floor is only someone's spilled soda, this year's most popular events included "The Wanton Female Desire," a program of shorts focusing on the pursuit of female sexual pleasure; "Whips and Restraint," a collection of BDSM-related shorts; and the documentary Graphic Sexual Horror, which followed the rise and fall of extreme bondage website InSex. Much of the audience does exude some BDSM and fetish tendencies, but there's a satisfying array of Plain Janes and John Does venturing offline and into the theater, too.
