The Pod
Well, it's a "lawn" of prickly Astroturf, but nature is a relative concept south of 59th Street, anyway. The Pod, a Japanese-style efficiency hotel of stacked bunks and condensed rooms, is a fine spendthrift lodging option, but its real boon is the unrestricted roof deck, free for both guests and locals.
