Squid ink pasta, pork-belly sliders and wine - now that's what I'm talking about! Good food and wine with a staff that's knowledgeable means you can't go wrong.

Squid ink is one of nature's most perfect seasonings, and it's put to expert use at the Tangled Vine Wine Bar in a wonderful version of fideos negros. The Spanish dish is made from short, thin noodles—likely of Moorish origin—plus braised cuttlefish, all of it dyed midnight-black by oceanic ink, plus a squirt of garlicky aioli for richness. The flavor is intense, super-saturated with brine.
Not too many dishes stick in my mind but Dave Seigal's fideos negros is one - another is his pork montaditos. We keep going back for both and for the restaurant's friendly vibe and great staff.
I've been to Tangled Vine a few times, and we always order this dish! My husband usually hates squid and all things oceanic, but he gobbles this up...
I love this dish...it's superb! paired with the right wine (if you don't know what that wine would be...everyone there is ready to recommend one!) it's great!
