Started by the folks who founded Ft. Greene?s The General Greene (named after a famous locomotive), Goat Town is an East Village bistro that strikes all the contemporary culinary notes: French cooking techniques applied to locavoric and sustainable provisions cooked up into a wide-scrambling menu of familiar dishes and somewhat more experimental ones. The interior is faced with off-white tiles, making it seem like the bus station that leads to heaven.
