It turns out that most Queens Uzbek menus are restrained compared to the one found at Cupola Samarkanda II, a newish place that hunkers under the F tracks in Brooklyn and emulates the Russian pleasure palaces of Brighton Beach when it comes to glitz. While listening to the throbbing strains of a Casio orchestra, thrill to such arcana as geez beez (a stir-fry of lamb organs poised on a parabolic cracker), a luscious tomato and onion salad called achick-chuck, Korean ceviche, and pork kebabs grilled over charcoal—something you'll never find in the Orthodox Jewish Uzbek restaurants of Queens. 1797 McDonald Avenue, Brooklyn, 718-375-7777 (11230)
