Not at the Baseball Center, the 15,000-square-foot training center that has something to offer everyone, from youngsters looking to get an edge up on their Little League opponents to old-timers looking to hit some balls and remember the glory days. Here, machines pitch at five speeds, the most challenging of which shoots balls at you up to 100 miles per hour and has the nerve to trick you with the occasional splitter, curve, or change-up. Not quite ready for the "Pro Batter Ultimate Pitcher's Machine"? Start slower and work your way up by taking a few of the center's private lessons, which can also include pitching and fielding, should you happen to wind up playing in the National League.
