That's certainly true of our best florist: a boutique, gift shop, and gallery in Fort Greene. Located across the street from the Atlantic-Pacific Mall, this gem is a perfectly assembled mix of exotic flora (like bright-orange pincushions and purple cursium); handmade jewelry and gifts; and art. Everything at Saffron is personally selected by shop owner and artist Kana Togashan and her husband, Tetsuji Nakatomi, a furniture designer. The duo runs the store like an extension of their home—indeed, repeat customers morph into friends, as people feel compelled to explore the ever-changing inventory and hear tales of where all the beautiful objects come from.
