Chaz Bono Live Onstage!
In a 30-minute rock opera based on the Patrick Swayze 1989 classic Roadhouse! (You know, "A tough bouncer is hired to tame a dirty bar.")
Says the release:
"After six original musical theatre adaptations of cult-classic and blockbuster films and a 'Best Musical' nomination at the 2012 Hollywood Fringe Festival, 30 Minute Musicals is back with Roadhouse the Rock Opera and Jurassic Park.
"30MM's Double Feature is hosted at their permanent home for the 2013 season, The Celebration Theatre, West Hollywood, 7051 Santa Monica Boulevard, Los Angeles, CA 90038. Ticket prices are $10 at the door and $15 in advance.
"Street parking is available."
Chaz doesn't play the Swayze role, but the part of Tinker. It will take those a little more in tune with the cult of this particular classic to fill me in on exactly who Tinker might be.
In any case, see you there. I hear the last 29 minutes are amazing.
