Eyes on the Prize: Spalding Gray Award
Arms and the Man: NTUSA
While I summered in the Alps, P.S.122, UCLA Live, and the Walker Arts Center announced the recipient of the second annual Spalding Gray Award. The judges selected the NYC ensemble, The National Theater of the United States, or NTUSA. Dedicated to life, liberty, and the pursuit of theatrical happiness, NTUSA is a democratic collective of mostly Skidmore alums who conjure smart, gorgeous, and very dramatic pieces. The award will fund development and presentation of a new show based on the Chautauqua Lectures of the late 19th and early 20th century. They can lecture us anytime.
