First Look At Meryl And Julia In August: Osage County
August: Osage County is the Pulitzer winning play by Tracy Letts (see above) about the disappearance of a father and how it further spirals one of the more dysfunctional families in American literature.
It was a powerful experience on Broadway, and now, inevitably, it's become a Meryl Streep movie. And I'm intrigued.
Here's your first look at Meryl sparring with daughter Julia Roberts, with help from Chris Cooper, Ewan McGregor, Juliette Lewis, Margo Martindale, and other hot picks.
The film's big line is "Thank God we can't tell the future. We'd never get out of bed," but I think depressives (and others) may well rouse themselves to head to the cinema for this.
