Friday Scribbles: 190 Bowery (a/k/a Sex, Death, and Hair) Edition
Friday Scribbles backatcha on Friday!
Wandering down the Bowery the other night, we ended up loitering outside 190 Bowery, the old Germania bank building, supposedly an exterior for the "Basketball Diaries," longtime home of famed ad-photographer Jay Maisel. The street-art chaos from 11 Spring continues to spill over, so there's still a bunch of stuff there: a splashed Shepard Fairey, a Faro character, one of Simon Curtis's SeMen. But we were particularly fascinated by the random scribblings all over the place. They're mostly about sex, death, and hair.
