I Was Dissed By a Chef

I was sitting and minding my own business at a prestigious event the other night when a fairly well known restaurant guy woke me out of my reverie by bellowing, "How come you don't have a website that people pay $20 million for?"

I was too stunned to think of any apt responses, like:

"Um, I'm doing just fine, thank you."

"How do you know?"

or just "Fuck off!"

So I simply stammered, "You sound like my mother."

Was taking the high road in this case the right idea or should I have shrieked, "How come you're not Mario Batali?"?
