Julianne Moore On Maisie, Carrie, And Sarah Palin
After copping an Emmy as Sarah Palin, Julianne Moore is now playing a rambunctious rock performer in What Maisie Knew, an updated adaptation of the Henry James novel about a girl caught between two selfish divorcing parents.
The film's release was a great excuse for me to catch up with Julianne Moore for this week's column. And she gave me an earful!
Julianne talked about the new film--one of six she has out this year!
And I asked her about playing the crazed mama in the upcoming Carrie remake. (Julianne reveals what she thinks of Sissy Spacek and Piper Laurie in the original film and tells me how this version will be different. She also explains her mama character's mouthy motivations, which are faithful to...well, you'll see.)
And she also mentioned that she's a special character in Joseph Gordon-Levitt's Don Jon film involving libidinal obsession, which everyone's excited for--literally.
And lots more! You'll enjoy this one, which should be subtitled What Mikey Knew.
