Klaus Nomi Movie In The Works!
Klaus Nomi was an eccentric fellow from Germany via outer space who wore black butterfly lips and new wave outfits and sang operatic arias in a piercing falsetto that could smash your cocktail glass.
He was quite the downtown sensation in the '70s and early '80s--there was even a SNL appearance backing up David Bowie--until sadly succumbing to AIDS in '83.
But he lives on.
Last night at the Tribeca Film Festival, his co-performer Joey Arias revealed that he's meeting with a producer to do a feature fim about Klaus, staring Alan Cumming.
