Lesbian Heiress Dies Mysteriously at 30
Casey Johnson was found dead in her home yesterday, the latest starlet snuffed out in the fast lane.
Casey, 30, was the daughter of New York Jets owner Woody Johnson and socialite Sale Johnson, but those weren't her only famous connections. She got a lot of press for being engaged to reality star Tila Tequila, the bisexual hottie who was wildly twittering on learning of Casey's passing. ("Everyone please pray 4 my wifey Casey Johnson.")
I remember Casey being a contender for "it girl" status around the time Paris Hilton was ascending to that throne, but Casey didn't quite have what it took for the job.
In 2004, she shot a WE channel series called Tinsley Bumble, spoofing the whole socialite craze--I shot a cameo in it--but the series was so bad it never aired!
And she became troubled, supposedly battling substance abuse and getting arrested for stealing all sorts of belongings from an ex friend, not to mention breaking into a former girlfriend's house and causing other types of mayhem.
Amazingly, one cop was quoted as saying this was a natural death, but what he meant was there were no signs of foul play. A toxicology report should determine whether this was another Anna Nicole/Heath/Jacko/DJ AM/Brittany situation.
And already 2010 is starting to rival last year for tabloidy ghastliness.
