Some Miami Polls Still Open
At 8:30 pm, according to the Miami Herald's blog, 2/3 of Miami-Dade county's precincts were still open 90 minutes after the poll-closing to serve overflow lines. At the University of Florida lines of students averaged 3-4 hours at closing time, and University President Donna Shalala passed out pizza. Polls also stayed open 1 1/2 hour after closing time in Allegheny County, PA due to problems with provisional ballots.
