The Club Crowd Does an Anti-Bullying Video
Watch out, Ellen.
The wildly accessorized gay and transsexual crowd has gotten together, thanks to organizer Eric Halliwell, and done a really hot video reaching out to gay teens who are being bullied by cretins.
In the wake of a rash of suicides resulting from this kind of harassment, the video is saying to kids, "There are other options"; "You're not alone," "I was bullied and got through it," and "Come to the cabaret! We'll give you comfort and a free soda."
I'm in there too, of course, as an example of gay survival...and survival and survival...
My primary message: "They're the ones with the problem, not you."
And don't you love the dollar bill sticking out of my pocket? That should offer some encouragement.
