The Worst Sitcom Episode Ever
This one's easy. It was the final installment of Seinfeld. After all the hype and buildup, it proved to be a rather mirthless, unilluminating way for the show to go out--and in fact, if it had been the first episode, I doubt there would have been a second.
Close runners up are the Mary Tyler Moore Show about anti-semitism and the Golden Girls set in the homeless shelter. We didn't need those shows to preach social issues with such a heavy hand. They made way bigger points in episodes that used shorter, defter strokes!
Also high on the list are ANY episode of Punky Brewster, Small Wonder, Chicken Soup, or Dinosaurs--though I was perversely glued to all of them.
Your worst episode? Of a sitcom, that is.
