Use Your Gayness to Get Out of Jury Duty!

That's what actor/singer/dancer/model Jonathan D. Lovitz from Logo's upcoming show Setup Squad is suggesting.

It's a way to get off a case and make a pungent political statement at the same time.

And it's way more intelligent and sensitive than screaming something like, "I hate Jews!"

Lovitz found himself in a prospective pool of jurors for a case when they asked if anyone couldn't be impartial.

Says he:

"I raised my hand and said, 'Since I can't get married or adopt a child in the state of New York, I can't possibly be an impartial judge of a citizen when I am considered a second-class citizen in the eyes of the justice system'."

Ouch. Hallelujah. People reacted big-time.

And he got off the case!

And that's how the new phenomenon of "jury-duty blocking" was born.
