We Already Had a Black U.S. President!
It was James Earl Jones in The Man, an obscure 1972 film based on an Irving Wallace bestseller about a black senator who gets to move up to the White House, as it were, after the President is killed in a disaster.
(Rod Serling of Twilight Zone fame wrote the screenplay.)
And we're getting another black President, too!
In the upcoming Broadway revival of The Best Man, the Prez will be played by, yep, James Earl Jones!
Gosh, I'm wondering if our real President isn't also being played by James Earl Jones.
