Terminal 5

The WrestleMania of Bowery Presents venues, Terminal 5 is where you go to revel in sweaty, overgrown, not-so-indie acts such as LCD Soundsystem, Ratatat, My Morning Jacket, and so on. The bands that play here are capable of filling up the Bowery Ballroom six times over, and have already cracked-or soon will-the Billboard Hot 100. Yes, Terminal 5 is mammoth. Fortunately, the building's no-seating cube design divvies up the 3,000-person capacity into three levels, the upper two wrapping around the crammed ground floor. Thus, sold-out shows still maintain some kind of band-in-your-face factor, the defining quality of the Bowery Presents experience.
