http://www.gerberbars.com Under the W Hotel is a place where business travel meets star power, and that's one powerful pheromone cocktail. If you do go in for high-priced drinks and an intimate atmosphere, don't show up wearing all black, or a tipsy trustfunder might mistake you for staff. It's happened, and we won't say to whom. http://www.theundergroundnyc.com Convivial underground bar built in 1895, featuring no cover live comedy and music acts. Read more about this New York bar or club >>
http://www.union-bar.com There's room to breathe here, and possibly even to sit down. However, it's a bit pricey for what it has to offer. Read more about this New York bar or club >>
http://www.union-pool.com Union Pool feels a bit trashy, like your hillbilly uncle's about to hook the TV up to the truck's engine to make it work. The large outdoor area, with a central that converts into an admirably dangerous fire pit come winter, is a top spot for Billyburg mingling. Now with a taco cart, too! http://www.unionsquarecafe.com Founded in 1985, Union Square Café was a game changer for Union Square, not only launching what has become a vibrant restaurant scene, but assisting the neophyte farmers’ market in becoming the thriving institution it is today by emphasizing local and seasonal ingredients. A perfectly crumbed, plate-flopping chicken milanesa sports a heap of nicely dressed salad and shavings of pecorino, while a seasonal squash soup, smooth as a kid glove, surprises with its component of toasted hazelnuts and matchsticks of firm green apple. The vaunted Danny Meyer service – attentive and friendly without being intrusive – continues apace. Read more about this New York bar or club >>

http://www.uptownloungenyc.com Iad say this UES lounge (with 15 drafts and more than 40 wines by the glass) would be a great place to take a large party, but theyad have to tolerate the jewel-tones upholstered booths and tacky design in general. If it werenat for the young, white crowd of locals that takes over late at night, Iad expect a crooning piano man to be taking residence here. Read more about this New York bar or club >>
http://www.theurgenyc.com The rough, industrial entrance gives away nothing about Urgeas subtle, romantic lighting scheme or plush lounges. Lackluster go-go boys dance on the bar waiting for time to pass until they change G-strings as if we won't notice theyare still the same people. Not that it seems to matter to the mango-cosmo-sipping gay male clientele, mind you. Stop by on Wednesday night and get pants-free for Ass Wednesday, where a tight rear can win you a prize.
