Huckleberry Bar

Huckleberry Bar

Joining joints like Jimmy's #43 and Cantina, Huckleberry is one of those bars that offer amazing food made in equipment-challenged micro-kitchens.
Forum

Forum

The Forum, one of the few lounges in Union Square territory, brings peace during the weekdays and boisterous partying on the weekends. Saturdays, for example, require plus-sized bouncers to monitor the swarms of cocktail-craving, dancing citizens.
Company Bar

Company Bar

If the hockey jerseys lining the walls at Company Bar don't draw you in, the great food and unpretentious atmosphere surely will. Stop by any night of the week for a refreshing round of hot wings and cold drinks.

  • The Yard

    The Yard

    310 W. Broadway New York, NY 10013
    212-965-3271

http://www.sohogrand.com Literally the would-be yard of the Soho Grand, The Yard is a backyard for all of those New Yorkers who don’t have their own outdoor space in which it's suitable for getting drunk.  The food fits the space, too, and is mostly burgers, tacos, sliders, and anything else a somewhat well-prepared host would serve at a legit yard party. The service is about as professional as you could expect from that kind of place, too. The bar is open to the public--not just the hotel guests (though some events are a bit exclusive)--but hours come and go with the weather, as the space is entirely outdoors. Drinks are reasonable and ideal for the summer, with the highlights being the buckets of beer and big pitchers of sangria, which are available in classic red or white peach. --Shane Barnes Read more about this New York bar or club >>
