  • Go Yoga

218 Bedford Ave. Brooklyn, NY 11211
    718-486-6502

http://www.goyoga.ws A refreshing space for physical and spiritual rejuvenation, Go Yoga offers a number of different classes (basic through advanced, mommy and baby, restorative) and instructors to cater to your mood. Want your ass kicked? I recommend Giada. Want to leave feeling refreshed, like your worries were overblown and the world is good again? You need Jason. Go's main problem is how crowded it getsaif you prefer classes with less than 10 people, where you can get a lot of personal attention, Go isn't your place. Also, individual classes are pricey at $15 (you get a discount buying a number of classes), and they charge you an extra dollar if you don't bring your own mat. More >>

  • Greenhouse Holistic

88 Roebling St. Brooklyn, NY 11211
    347-987-4526

http://www.greenhouseholistic.com Greenhouse considers itself a "holistic and wellness center," rather than a simple yoga studio. And true, they also offer tai chi, various massages, accupuncture, pilates, and belly dancing, as well as our favorite Indian method of stretching and breathing. Oh, wait, I learned that from the Kama Sutra. What I meant, of course, was yoga. Greenhouse has small classes, in ashtanga, vinyasa, prana, and restorative yoga. My main complaint is that instructors sometimes don't emphasize the spiritual aspect enough, skipping the end-of-session meditationaclearly my favorite part, because it involves lying on your back.
