Now, bright-light pop artists such as Hillary Duff perform here, garden tours promenade through the grounds and worker-bees in their khakis perch on blankets on the fescue for midday getaways. The original Victorian structure burned down in a fire, but the main ideaarenting a rowboat or gondolaais still doable. Then walk further south and just around the bend you will happen upon Bethesda Terrace, made famous by Tony Kushner in Angels in America. The 1873 angel sculpture is the only sculpture originally commissioned with the design of the park. More >>
