    Peter Norton Symphony Space

2537 Broadway at 95th St. New York, NY 10025
212-864-5400 The classiest New York attraction to boast an epilepsy-inducing neon marquee (unless you count the McDonald's in Times Square), Peter Norton Symphony Space is a small, impeccably curated theater on the Upper West Side. The Space is, hands-down, the best venue in town to take in world music; the acoustics and intimacy guarantee an experience out of time. Hawaiian ukulele and Iranian spike fiddle are just some of the recent, incredibly varied offerings; don't miss out on this modest gem. More >>

    Symphony Space

2537 Broadway New York, NY 10025-6947
212-864-5400 Symphony Space provides just that. A massive, contemporary, multi-theater venue tailored for classical and jazz performance, but catering to dance, literature, comedy, and film as well as the musical genres. It opened doors in 1978 and has since become a New York institution, though one that primarily serves its affluent, older neighbors. It's location on the Upper West Side makes for quiet, aesthetically pleasing surroundings, but aside from high-end stores and groceries, that stretch of Broadway can be sparse. Walk over to the more lively Amsterdam Avenue for restaurants or to grab a beer. More >>
