Erin Judge isn't shy about her feminism. On stage and TV — she recently competed on Last Comic Standing — Judge tells jokes that incinerate misogynists, celebrate the fluidity of gender, and wring thoughtful hilarity out of sexual confusion. Now she's a novelist: Her forthcoming Vow of Celibacy exudes her feminist sensibility. It introduces us to Natalie, a young woman who swears off sex while seeking to find the root cause of so many failed relationships. Her best friend, meanwhile, struggles with the decision to reveal her identity to thousands of readers of her blog — and her first sexual partner. Tonight's event celebrates the book's release with a comedy show featuring stand-up by Judge and nine other up-and-coming comedians, including Myq Kaplan, who recently appeared on The Tonight Show With Conan O'Brien, and Aparna Nancherla, who wrote for W. Kamau Bell's Totally Biased.
