Twenty diverse dance experiences await assiduous, budget-minded viewers as the thirteenth-annual Fall for Dance festival unfolds, rather like a series of trailers for full-length programs scheduled in the new season. Each of five bills plays twice: Tonight and tomorrow, see world premieres by STREB Extreme Action and South Africa's Dada Masilo, as well as Frederick Ashton's Monotones II performed by members of American Ballet Theater, and the New York premiere of Farruquito's Mi Soledad (Solea). On Wednesday or Thursday, catch London's Richard Alston Dance Company, Rio's Grupo Corpo, the transatlantic team of Wendy Whelan and Edward Watson in Arthur Pita's The Ballad of Mack and Ginny, and Aszure Barton's Awáa. Three more programs, including companies from France, Belgium, Hong Kong, Australia, Taiwan, the Netherlands, and India, continue into October.

Fall for Dance runs through October 8 at New York City Center. Click here for the full schedule.
