Food Film Fest: Tender Stories of Love and Meat

Food Film Fest: Tender Stories of Love and Meat

Central Texas Barbecue

The 2015 Food Film Fest NYC kicks off tonight with a slate of movies about meat in America. The lineup is, as expected, varied in both subject matter and duration: There's Matthew Salleh's 13-minute Central Texas Barbecue, about the significance of BBQ in daily life in the Lone Star State; Christopher Hunt's half-hour Course of Food, in which Marc Dunham meets a free-range pig farmer; and George Motz's The Science of the Burger, the title of which needs no explanation. Return throughout the weekend for more satisfying programs.
