Award-winning Jerusalem-born artist Sharon Eyal started out performing with Batsheva Dance Company in 1990; she's been choreographing, in Israel and elsewhere, since 2001, and launched L-E-V (in Hebrew, the word means heart) with party producer Gai Behar in 2013. They've shown their pieces in Germany and Sweden; this run marks their debut at the Joyce. Their 55-minute OCD Love, inspired by the plaintive work of spoken-word artist Neil Hilborn, has a live electronic score by musician Ori Lichtik, a drummer and creative DJ, and a cast of six Batsheva-trained dancers. It is, says Eyal, "about love that always misses, or lovers who keep missing each other...I know the way it feels and the end of the world, without mercy."
