Michael Cannell: Incendiary

For 16 years, disabled electrician George Metesky took out his frustrations with Con Ed by planting bombs all around the city — 32 in all, injuring a total of 15 people. His final attempt, on Christmas Eve, 1956, was a pipe bomb hidden at the main branch of the New York Public Library — the same place where, at this talk, author Michael Cannell will discuss his latest book, Incendiary: The Psychiatrist, the Mad Bomber, and the Invention of Criminal Profiling. The decades-long manhunt led to the development of the first modern methods of criminal psychological profiling (and, consequently, every CBS primetime drama).
