One (or many a) man's trash certainly ended up another man's treasure in the form of this exhibit, a collection of —yep — garbage housed on the second floor of the M11 garage in East Harlem. The "museum" comprises thousands of items collected by Department of Sanitation worker Nelson Molina, who picked up many unique objects along his upper-Manhattan route over the past three decades. Strange and fascinating, the collection isn't always open to the public, but as part of Getting to Zero: New York + Waste, a yearlong program exploring New York's waste systems, two tours are being offered this week. Though tickets are sold out, you can still join the waitlist to see this trashy treasure trove.
