Executive chef Missy Robbins, previously of Chicago's Spiaggia, helms the kitchen at this sleek restaurant on the third floor of the Time Warner Center. While there is nothing rustic about the décor, woodsy touches aren't uncommon on the menu, like the wild boar Bolognese and the roasted abalone mushrooms that complement the hearty pork chop. All pastas, like the ravioli filled with prosciutto and goat cheese, are made in-house. Entrees find inspiration from the sea (olive oil-poached salt cod, Mediterranean sea bass) to the farm (hanger steak with creamy polenta, fennel and chili-marinated brick chicken). The wine list features around 2,700 different bottles, with an emphasis on Italy, France and the Napa Valley. The dining room has a clean, modern feel, with white leather chairs, hardwood floors and thick white columns, perfect for the many celebrities and businesspeople who frequent it. If you want to experience Robbins' cooking without spending a lot, stop in during lunch for the $29 three-course prix fixe menu.—Keith Wagstaff
