Minuscule in size, supremely well organized, and friendly to boot, Alibaba is the Upper West's best cheap eatery. The glatt kosher menu offers Israeli fare, including a memorably moist turkey shawarma, exemplary falafel, and less-familiar specialties, including the Yemenite soup koobah: a chile-laced broth that, in a marvel of culinary architecture, features a meatball inside a matzo ball.
