, a small tropical bird known for its agility, speed, and ability to outwit and outlast larger birds, is this groupas symbol. ASPIRA believes this tiny bird is a fitting symbol for young Latinos in urban America, and seeks to help them gain the confidence, strength, and skills of the bird, which is native to Puerto Rico. New Yorkas branch of this Hispanic youth leadership group holds Latino cultural events and leadership social hours and also does routine scholarly training, such as SAT classes, to help its members excel in not only social, but academicaand future professionalasituations.
