While the decor is dazzling-including a water cascade, a fake fireplace, flush-mounted wall monitors featuring flopping menus, and walls plastered with glistening paving stones in a soaring, two-story space-the food tends to be uneven at this Malaysian restaurant, which also includes Thai and Cantonese stuff on the menu. Stick with the standards: roti tellur flatbread stuffed with egg accompanied by a bowl of chicken curry, achat pickled salad, and okra with shrimp in curry sauce. The mutton and bean curd skin casserole was also fab, but the fruit-laden aksam laksa (usually, a fiery soup) was a big disappointment.
